Zoukenergy

Conscious Participation Agreement

I hereby agree to abide by the following Code of Conduct during the Zoukenergy Experience.

1. Respect: I take ownership for my behaviour, energy and my feelings. I treat myself, other participants, the facilitators and staff with respect, courtesy and kindness.

2. Responsibility: I accept that my feelings are my responsibility, and I may choose to ask for support and/or space, without promoting gossip, blame or placing the responsibility on others. I acknowledge that support is available with my “Tribe Leaders”, my “Buddy” and the organisation team.

2. Safety and wellbeing: My safety is my priority and I contribute actively to the group safety by following the organisers guidelines. I understand that within the context of certain activities I may touch upon emotional and physical boundaries of myself and others. I wish to honour these boundaries in order to support my process and the safety of the group. I aspire to review my perceived boundaries regularly, as they may change day by day.

3. Compliance with activities: I intend to show up on time and well prepared for all activities, so as to honour the experience of everyone. If I must step outside of a group activity, I agree to communicate this to a member of the organisation team.

4. Dietary preferences: I make sure to communicate in advance to the organisers (minimum 30 days in advance) any dietary restrictions. And I make sure to double check that the organisers have received and understood my requests. All meals will be vegetarian and gluten free with vegan options.

5. Respect for the property: I respect the facilities of the Venue and organisers and agree to keep common areas clean and tidy. I take responsibility for any damage caused by my actions.

6. Consumption of alcohol and substances: I understand that the purpose of this retreat is to establish a closer and more natural relationship with my mind and body, and therefore refrain from the consumption of coffee, alcohol and illegal substances. If I take prescribed medication, I agree to communicate this clearly with the organisers.

7. Confidentiality: I honour the privacy and confidentiality of all participants, staff and facilitators and refrain from gossip and sharing of personal information. If others present gossip to me, I acknowledge that I have the choice to walk away.

8. Diversity: I understand that during the retreat I am in touch with other human beings, with different ages, genders, religions, cultural backgrounds and sexual orientations. I aim to be inclusive and compassionate where possible, and treat everyone as an equal.

9. Nudity: I understand that during the event, and particularly around the sauna, river and pool areas, I may be exposed to nudity. I agree to take care of the appropriateness of a shared space regarding nude behaviour. I acknowledge that I always have the choice to remove myself from a situation.

10. Compliance with the local laws and regulations: I comply with all applicable local laws and regulations during the retreat.

PRIVACY POLICY - THE BASICS

Having said that, a privacy policy is a statement that discloses some or all of the ways a website collects, uses, discloses, processes, and manages the data of its visitors and customers. It usually also includes a statement regarding the website’s commitment to protecting its visitors’ or customers’ privacy, and an explanation about the different mechanisms the website is implementing in order to protect privacy.

Different jurisdictions have different legal obligations of what must be included in a Privacy Policy. You are responsible to make sure you are following the relevant legislation to your activities and location.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN THE PRIVACY POLICY

Generally speaking, a Privacy Policy often addresses these types of issues: the types of information the website is collecting and the manner in which it collects the data; an explanation about why is the website collecting these types of information; what are the website’s practices on sharing the information with third parties; ways in which your visitors and customers can exercise their rights according to the relevant privacy legislation; the specific practices regarding minors’ data collection; and much, much more.

To learn more about this, check out our article “Creating a Privacy Policy”.
